Udenz: Redefining Dental Care

With a steady 12% annual revenue growth, Udenz gained recognition from Forbes Middle East as one of the 50 UAE Startups to watch. We seized the opportunity to ask a couple of questions to Graciela Garcia, their Marketing Head.

Tell us more about Udenz


Udenz is the MENA region’s premier dental ecosystem platform, dedicated to fostering the right to smile. Our platform includes an appointment-booking system, Electronic Dental Records System, dental directory, payment gateway, digital services, crowdfunding, and support, providing a comprehensive solution for dentists and dental patients.


Can you briefly recount the journey and the motivations that led to the creation of Udenz?


In 2015, Dr. Hisham Safadi, the founder of Udenz, found himself increasingly frustrated with certain challenges in the delivery of dental services, such as extended waiting times. Udenz was launched in 2016, introducing a user-friendly digital platform that enables patients to effortlessly locate clinics, check reviews, and book appointments.
Our journey began with a successful $200,000 crowdinvesting campaign in 2018, and since then, we have experienced consistent growth. The platform currently boasts an impressive network of over 500 dental clinics and 625 dental specialists in the MENA.
In 2019, we introduced UdenzX, an eCommerce platform offering discounted dental products from around the world. Following this, in 2020, UDENZPAY was unveiled—an online payment solution enabling patients to conveniently pay for their dental treatments in installments.
With our steadfast growth trajectory, we have ambitious plans to evolve into the largest dental ecosystem in the MENA region.
